Good value replacement for original

This is a fraction of the price of the Stihl original gearbox. It fitted easily and all the fixing parts you need are included. I also bought a new shroud as I didn't fancy trying to remove the old one from the faulty gearbox I was replacing - and again all fitted well.

I couldn't see much grease in the gearbox so made sure I added some before running the strimmer, butr all seems well. The new gearbox might be slightly noisier, suggesting it's not quite as well made as the Stihl original, but you only notice it once the engine has been turned off.

Time will tell how long it lasts but at the moment I'm very pleased to have s strimmer working again. Recommended.Read full review...
