Buy for the feel and durability!
I'm not a drummer, the light-up feature of these is entirely a gimmick I DON'T care about, but others do like; these operate fine for some limited period of time before they fly apart in use unless you tape the ends a lot or use the grips over them, which makes them very fat, and frequently check them(even though there's a little screw that it is supposed to retain the cap).
That being said as a caveat, I have several drumming friends who like or love them- and my friend Stix swears they're the best-feeling sticks he's ever handled, and CERTAINLY rugged compared to any hardwood.Read full review

I never dreamed I would enjoy something so much. I am a 53yr old grannie that loves Rockband and I play the drums. I love anything that lights up but these really blow me away!!!
