Keep Lid Away from Dish Soap
I love the Contigo travel mug for its ability to keep hot beverages hot, and for spill avoidance. I would prefer faster flow of liquid through the drink spout.
While the hand washing instructions call for soaking "the lid for 10 minutes in hot, soapy tap water". I've had to endure 3 days of soapy tasting coffee which has not diminished despite repeated use and rinses. I had used the best known of dish washing liquids to have its taste and smell absorbed into the plastic of the lid. I see that Contigo offers additional cleaning tips at their web site. While I have not as yet visited the site, I'd consider using baking soda or cream of tartar as an alternative to soap for a thorough hand washing. [Washing the lid in the top rack of the dish washer had left no residual smells/tastes, but failed to remove the fast accumulating coffee stains.]

Wonderful product
I tried other travel mugs and within the first half our my coffee is already cold. With the Contigo mug i have hot coffee hours after. i would recommend it strongly to persons travelling long distances to work. very good product. love the capacity also. 16 oz. the price is also good.Read full review

A great spill proof mug
I have now purchased three of this new style of the Contigo Mug and we love them.
We are disabled and need insulated mugs that are easy to use and spill proof. We bought five earlier styles of Contigo Mugs and will continue to use them but these are our favourites.

Simply the best
I learned of Contigo when it won the best travel mug test in a men's magazine. I've had at least six autoseals in 16 and 20 oz sizes...I
tend to lose them. They are contoured to fit the hand just right, keep coffee warm for hours and ice water cold even longer. They're amazingly
durable having dropped mine on pavement many times with only scratches to show for it. Th opening where you sip fits the mouth perfectly so no dribbling down your chin. Just be carefull with those first few sips not to burn your mouth. The best feature however is the autosealing button that eliminates spillage on tip overs. Get one for coffee and one for water as the coffee flavor will permeate the lid,and

Convenient one-handed design
I like the Autoseal design of the Contigo travel mug, especially for driving. It doesn't leak, even when turned upside down and is always sealed unless you squeeze the large button, which is great on bumpy roads. It keeps the drink from splashing out of the hole on top. The insulated cup keeps drinks hot or cold. I would have given this model 5 stars, except that the design of the sealing mouth/drinking hole allows a drop of the beverage to perch on the edge of the cap, unless you notice it and lick it off. Otherwise, the drip can fall on your shirt on your next sip...I've gotten used to it, though. This is my third Contigo Autoseal travel mug (I lost the first 2) -- they're definitely my favorite design!Read full review

It doesn't get any better
Best travel mug I've ever owned. Top quality product. Keeps drinks cold or hot virtually all day. Simply squeeze the perfectly placed button when you take a drink and when you release the button it seals it completely. You can take a drink and when you release the button you can immediately turn it upside down and you will never spill a drop because unlike others, the place where the liquid comes out, protrudes slightly instead of being recessed where liquid can collect.Read full review
