I don't like how the game begins because of the war part. Being that it was the Civil War and the characters are on the side for slavery. So it felt funny playing the game for the characters really on the wrong side of the war in real life.Read full review...

Scratched, smudged, wont play

Scratches. Wear and tear on disc that look like permanent smudges. Wont load passed midway through the game. I will never buy from the source again now.

Call of Juarez Review

I really enjoyed this game. It has a lot of different types of game elements all throughout the story. One minute you are escorting someone and the next you are dueling with the local gangster. The single player campaign is really fun and entertaining. The graphics are fantastic and the sound is great too. The one thing that bugged me the most about the game is the lack of co-op mode. The whole game you play as either Ray or Thomas. When you choose one person the computer takes over the other. This type of gameplay is just screaming a co-op mode. A solid game, but better are available

I'm not usually a fan of the western genre, but I thought I would give this a try. The story mode (single player) is a lot of fun and has a decent plot. You can choose between Thomas McCall or Ray McCall on most of the missions (some require you to use a certain character). I played through the game as Thomas (completion time: 6h 42m), but had no desire to give it another play-through as Ray. The game just didn't have much replay value for me. The multiplayer is decent, but nothing more. It held my attention for about 30 minutes, while I tried to adapt to a new experience (it's much slower than most shooters).

Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this game. It's worth playing through at least once.Read full review...

Action Packed

This is about 5 times better than I thought it would be. The first game was a great idea, but the actual game turned out to be a bit of a dud. It had lots of good elements but some truly bad controls and some horrible design issues. This game takes everything good about the first, improves on it, and throws away all of the bad stuff. fun game! worth picking up!

this is overall a fun game. Good western. Decent replay value. i bought this game because i was in need of some western action. it satisfies that craving. the first level is during civil war time, after that it is all western. the gameplay is smooth and fun. two sides to each story. each mission can be played as one of two brothers. Story overall is pretty good. Graphics are good. sound is good as well. Like the game and still play alot. i recommend this game to anyone who likes shooters/ westerns.Read full review...

Even though the graphics could be somewhat better and sharper, my son and I have really enjoyed the game. It really does feel like we are emeshed in a real western. The only concern I have, which is common to a lot of video games, is the language. It would be better if they could tone done the vulgarity.
