It worked for what I needed to do

It did the Job,although it was a bit hard as the position I needed to use it was awkward,I had the hub off the car.The cups fit very well and the addition of the little bearings is a nice touch but they collapsed when I was fitting the bush as I had to use a hell of a lot of force to get the bush to move, because of the shape of my trailing arm the reciever cup wouldnt sit square so I had to keep repositioning it. In all honesty I dont think any bushing tool would have performed any better, I have the other arm to do so will try to get pictures and amend this review...I shall freeze the next one to see if it makes it easier on the tool...would I recommend it...yes...nothing is easy when replacing bushings but this did make it easier, I doubt it would have removed my bushing as I had to cut them down the length in 2 lines..and they were 18yrs in the car and rustedRead full review...

Rough but not ready

Tool worked OK for bush extraction, but one of the washers shattered. Cup receiver side relief was too small and required an additional 5mm machining off. Insertion cup internal ID too small to accept rubber seal on bush. 1mm machined off internal ID. Insertion cup internal shoulder ID too small to fit over bush and engage bush shoulder. 1mm machined off. Original finish on all cups very poor with heavy chatter from machining. Original finish cut one of the rubber seals before re-machining.Read full review...

OK but.....

I bought this to use on a Volvo S80 D5. The tool is sturdy, the original crank pulley bolts are long enough to hold the tool, the slots are a bit loose but all fits.
The real issue is that, on the S80 at least, the crank dimensions of the tool place it exactly in the wrong place in 3 of the 4 possible positions with the engine at TDC. Vertically upwards it fits - but then you need to get a lever on it squeezed down by the cam belt (a motorcycle fork keg works well!) Horizontally towards the front it fouls with aircon or oil cooler pipes. Horizontally to the rear it fouls with the suspension/driveshaft. Vertically down it fouls with the subframe. Were the crank dimensions slightly greater then at least two more options would be available.
I await to see what it’s like on my V70 when the time comes.

puller

The tool removed the old bush great but when it came to installing the new bush there was a major design fault. The area of the tool that pushes the new bush in has a chamfer machined on it, this means that it slips of the bush, if it had a square face it would locate better. had to strip the whole rear subframe out and use the garage press.Read full review...

Cheap, misaligned and needs modifying

See picture, the bolt holes do not line up. Had to enlarge the boltholes to 10mm and the dowel hole to 4mm to be able to fit this properly in all 4 bolt holes.
The tensioner tool pins are also made of cheese. Bent off in an odd direction as soon as you try and use it.

All in all. It does the job. Providing you can make the much needed mods and only need to use it once (the tensioner tool) but if you are looking for a hardy piece of kit for regular use. Don't bother.

Timing review

Superb tool, made it so easy to set the camshafts on my 1.6 16v renault engine that the new timing belt was fitted inside 30 mins!
Thankyou so much for making this tool availible to "us everyday joes" so that we can save so much time and money on this proceedure.Read full review...

Warning: The cam locks for Alfa V6 24v don't fit!

Do not use these for your Alfa Romeo V6 24 valve engine! They don't fit! The cam lock C2 is not properly made so the cam gets the wrong position. When I started searching for a solution I discovered other Alfa mechanics who faced the same problem with these cam locks.
A refund would be the only right thing even though 14 days have passed.

Poor Quality Tool

The camshaft locking tool is 2mm short. It won't lock the camshaft. The VW tool is 32mm long and this tool is 30mm. It makes a big difference. In fairness to the supplier, he sent another tool but sadly it was the same length. The other items in the kit work ok but we had to buy an OE VW tool to make the kit useful.Read full review...

Did the job, heavy construction.

1999 Fiesta rear beam bush. These buses get very seized and a threaded bar and sockets would not work on removal so it was back to hacksaw hammer and chisel. Likewise the new bush did not want to go in with the bar, so I invested in this remover. I noted that it was designed for removal and refitting. Some advertised appear removal only. Anyway it worked well, thanks to very heavy construction. In front of the tightening nuts they supply a small bearing for ease of use. I wondered if this was a weak link and indeed at one tight spot, a bearing race cracked, but no worry it works just as well without. Use is self explanatory, just as well as no instructions included for the novice. 4 day standard delivery. Good kit. Would it have been man enough to have done the removal, hence only 4 stars. That said I can't imagine a more robust construction.Read full review...

T4 upper ball joint remover

If you have to change your t4 upper ball joints this is gvfm. Its a bit fiddly to fit but once in the right position it will push the joint out and the new one in. A bit of wd40 and second pair of eyes will help you locate it. The only other essential is a modified 100mm bolster chisel.Read full review...
