Prompt delivery but one of the nest box lids fell apart because of knots in the wood made the frame fall apart, had to fixed with a metal brace , extended run very flimsy and no way to secure the top of the run from being prised open by a determined fox, also the sides of the run are not adequately secured to the roof sections, easy to force apart and allow foxes to access the chickens, just needs a few additional brackets or fasteners to resolve the problem, finally the removable metal tray is too tight And needs to be planed to allow an easy slide in and out, therefore for £200 these issues shouldn't existRead full review...

Not how it seemed on the picture

The description of the hen house as being large is somewhat deceptive, it is not. It is described as being for 4-6 hens, had we purchased 6 there would have been severe overcrowding, I would suggest that 3-4 is more apt. We have already had to increase the size of the outside pen as it is too small for 4 hens although the hen house is just ok for 4. Excellent value for money

This is great product. It took me about one hour to put together on my own with just an electric screwdriver. The instructions are basic but it is pretty obvious where all the bits go. Just make sure that you read the instructions carefully enough to get the correct nuts and screws in the right places.

One suggestion I would make is not to tighten the bolts on the main house until you have installed the roof. This just ensures that there is some movement in the main frame so that the roof can be fitted correctly and the house ends up square with the legs even on the ground. Then you can give the final tighten to all of the bolts. Put the next box lids on last so that you can reach the bolts to tighten them without the lids getting in the way.

Fantastic chicken coop

This chicken coop is well made and the simple instructions made it easy to put together. Our 6 chickens have plenty of room. We gave it a dose of teak oil to protect it and make it last longer. The plastic roof is a great idea. The only negative is that the chickens kick all the straw out of the nest boxes into the main house because there is no wooden ridge to stop this happening.
