Keeps out the water
Very easy to work into both smooth and rough leather, and a little seems to go a long way. Gave my walking boots two good coats and my Australian type leather hat one, without making much of an impact on the tins contents. Both tested the following day and found to be 100% waterproof.
Although the wax is clear (Vaseline colour), it does have a slight darkening effect on the leather. But as I just wanted a easy waterproofing solution for my boots this wasn't an issue.Read full review...

Good stuff
Most boot stuff makers don't want to tell you what is in it. Those that do admit to some kind of oil or wax. During my research I found a lot of boot stuff was beeswax based so I went for this product because it's beeswax based and it's a reasonable price. I've done my brand new boots with it and they look fine. A little darker but I'm not interested in the colour. I'm sure a couple more applications will waterproof my boots. There's plenty left in the tin. Read full review...

Trusted, quality brand
Simply the best wax out there for footwear. Bought for my walking boots where the leather had dried out with age. Perfect! Brought them back to life and waterproofed.

Several light layers later...
...three pair of my husband's leather walking boots were completely weatherproofed using this tin of protectant. Smells very nice, goes on easily - several light layers suggested instead of one heaping gob and it's best to let each layer sit for at least an hour before applying another. My husband is very pleased with the results and wants me to keep this on my 'wish list' for quick reordering when a new tin is wanted. Read full review...

Grangers G Wax
This product is easy to apply and you do not use too much so you will not have to keep buying the more. You are told to build up the layers applying two or three times. When I then went out walking through puddles my feet stayed dry. I am very happy with this product.Read full review...

The best wax for mountain boots
I have used many products to waterproof and condition my mountain boots but the best by far is Grangers G wax. I would normally buy it locally but the shops I tried recently are only stocking a well known rival brand so i purchased this time from Ebay. Just a great boot wax.Read full review...

works well- easy to apply
Purchased initially to clean and protect boots, works well. Also applied a small amount to my leather coat with positive results. I have since used this product to buff and gently shine this coat. Good results for a bargain priceRead full review...

Wet work boots
I bought this Grangers to treat my boots as I am always around wet concrete and water in my job. I done as per instructions and it works great, if you warm it it's even better as it sort of soaks in to the leather. Using this product keeps my boots supple and waterproof, i have dry feet now throughout the day and a good level of protection for my boots (they cost enough)
If you warm the product before applying it goes on even better.
I highly recommend Grangers wax for boots etc.....Read full review...

Excellent protection.
Easy to apply, with good coverage. Better than some other brands available. May cost a little
more but worth it.

Grangers G Wax
Purchased this for use on leather hiking boots. Applied as per instructions on the tin, immediately saw an improvement in the boots appearance, look almost like new. And yes the boots did come out a little darker which is what I would expect when applying a natural wax product.
Have only done the 1 x walk since applying and that was in the Yorkshire Dales, part of which was boggy. The water was noticeably repelled by the wax. .
The tin is 80gms which is almost twice the size of an ordinary tin of shoe polish. It goes a long way, and at the price paid, it's a bargain.
Would definitely recommend and will be buying more - and it's British.Read full review...
