Decent bit of kit
Even the narrowest supplied pipe was too wide for the dipstick tube on my Alfa GT but I had the correct size available which made a good fit inside the original pipe so I could use it fine. The bottle supplied is too small for engine oil changes - but the "bung" in the kit will fit most sizes of oil containers, so just save the empty can from this oil change to fill with the old oil next time. It's actually a better solution than using the original bottle anyway. And the pump only shifts a small amount of oil on each stroke. That's the negative points out of the way. In fact this thing works just fine for a DIYer. Having to pump 25 or 30 strokes to empty the sump isn't that big a deal and being able to deposit the old oil directly into a disposable container is a surprise added bonus. As long as you know it will fit in your vehicle (or you can get the diameter of tube that will) then it's good affordable solution.Read full review...

Didn’t work for me
The hose is to wide wouldn’t if neither of my cars (Toyota granvia abd Alda Romeo GT) so I had to buy a thinner hose from another supplier wich was an extra expense. Managed to pump about 1 lt of oil from the Alfa after a lot and I’m mean a lot of pumping had no luck pumping oil fro the van perhaps the oil pan is too low and pump sunction is not strong enough..If you looking for a pump to help pump up the oil to minimise mess when changing oil maybe consider other products as it hasn’t work for meRead full review...

Great little device for cleaning bilges - and hopefully oil sumps too.
Great little transfer pump that has already been used to clean out the residues in the bilges and will shortly be used for an engine oil change. The two tubes can be linked to give extra length if needed and still no loss of suction.
Bottle holds a decent amount and which I transferred into a larger container as needed using the supplied funnel to prevent spillage. All in all better than I expected from some of the other reviews hence 4 stars - 5 stars would be 'amazing' and it's not quite that, but still good.Read full review...

Worked OK for Me
Purchased to prevent rolling around under the car to drop the sump plug. Started the engine to warm the oil up a little beforehand. Tube fitted down BMW 120D dipstick OK. Took about 15mins and 3 empties of the container to draw what oil I could. I believe the stopper and pump could be used on a larger suitable container if you have one.Read full review...

Does the job but has some faults.
It was simple to use although the tubing supplied didn't fit the dipstick tube so I used some I already had. It did exactly what I wanted it to (remove used oil from engine sump). The plastic 'bottle' supplied collapsed due to the suction pressure so I had to suck out the oil in short bursts to allow the container to partially recover its shape.Read full review...

Budget Oil Extractor
Have not used it yet, but it looks fine and should do the job.
The extraction tube just pushes into a conical shaped hole in the rubber bung, but it seems to fit well so should maintain suction.

Easy and Simple to Use
This was easy to assemble and use. The instructions are in "translation" English, but easy to decypher. They refer to ITEM 6, which is not shown in the illustrations. This in fact refers to the short length of wider transparent tube already fitted over the end of one of the two lengths supplied. This wider tube renders the joint 'air tight' so that the pump can form a vacuum and so draw out the old oil. The pump is much easier and quicker to use than a burette with a rubber filler bulb.Read full review...
