Quality of recording, the full cast, the adaptation from the books. All round entertainment for when there is rubbish on the tv.

the production was very good and much darker than I had anticipated from the film of the first book. The volume settings had to be somewhat higher than I would normally have used primarily due to the soft voice of our heroine. Perhaps this could have been better handled during the production. Well recorded series, and very absorbing: once you start listening, you don't want to stop. It gives a little insight into the Golden Compass.
