Great; but, with a BMW Model Caveat

The quality, value, & fitment are top notch. The only issue was the 90 degree orientation of the words 'Start', 'Stop', & 'Engine', on both buttons; otherwise, they are identical. In the picture of both buttons you can see that the square orientation opening is close to being under the end of the word 'Engine' on the old button, & on the new button, it's under the end of the word 'Start'. The 90 degree difference is shown in the picture of the new button after it was installed into the dash of my wife's 2012 BMW X3 iDrive 28i (F25). This was no fault of the seller. I searched high & low for a Start button having the correct orientation, & even the buttons shown to fit a BMW F25 (without the auto stop feature) were not the correct orientation. From all of the BMW Repairs Shops, & BMW Dealers, with whom I spoke, the only way to get the correct button orientation is to order the entire $100 Start Switch. This makes sense as most 'dummy plugs' for where the auto stop feature button would go (or, that button itself), is typically at the top of the Start button, & sometimes, at the bottom of the Start button. Rarely, are the auto stop feature buttons located to the left of the Start button, as they are in a 2012 BMW X3. To remedy the 90 degree issue, I smoothly & evenly scored the new button right at its natural 'lip', to remove the resulting 'cap' that was created. Then, I turned the 'cap' 90 degrees to match the old button, & glued it there using Loctite Plastic Bonding Glue. Button looks & works like new.Read full review
