Best game I have ever played for the PS2.

bought this a couple days ago. The final chapter of the Dot Hack series has now arrived. There's not much else to say other then let's just dive in.In terms of this game, Quarantine, it's a lot bigger then the other three previous games. It can even be said better but that's not by much seeing as all three previous games are the same. If you enjoy the previous games then I don't see why you won't enjoy this game. If you don't like the first Hack games or the games following Infection then you probably won't be going near this game. In terms of the overall Dot Hack series, it is as fun as the other 3 before it. I have to say that at first I expected the Hack series to be special simply cause of my own expectation in terms of the hype that this is a series that's being release in four parts. Normally and traditionally, games that have potential to become a series don't normally get release in various parts as planned ahead before the first game. After all it's always the sale figure of the first game before a decision is made on doing a sequel for a game. One can't simply gamble ahead and assume that a game will sell well. However when looking at the Dot Hack series, it's not so much as a series but more or less one big game that was chopped up into four different parts, which is why you don't see any real change from one game after another. overall I loved them.Read full review...

A Great and Climatic Ending

Fianlly we have the 4th game and the end of the hack series is here. The game continues where we left off in the 3rd game and also introduces a new server for you. The game elements have not changed at all since the first hack so you should know what to expect. The battle system and the dungeons have not changed much either. Fortunaltly, unlike the 3rd game, the story in this game is top notch and is in full motion from the very get go. You learn alot more about each of the character and also make some new and interesting friends at the end. If you have enjoyed the first three games then you will definalty enjoy this game. This game is a little longer than the first three and lasts around 25 hours. I would recomend this series to anyone who has an enjoyment for RPG's and a good story.Read full review...

It was a great ending to a great series.

I enjoyed the game. But, unless, your an anime fan I wouldn't advise to getting this and only get this game if you've played the first three. If you haven't watched the anime then it won't make much sense as you play through the game and you also won't have as much fun playing it as you would if had seen it. also the it one of those games that is a bit odd and if you don't have a taste for it you might think it's slow and not worth your time. But none the less it is a very good game otherwise and is one of the best if not the best anime based game I've played.Read full review...

8.75/10

In the incredible conclusion to the dot hack game series we find our heroes in the climatic battle to save "The World". By this point what can you say about this game? It's the final part in the incredibly immersive series. If you can find the game for a good deal, BUY IT ASAP. I can't stress enough how much fun these games can be.

Graphics: For a PS2 game they were quite impressive, the world's and stages felt great, when it was a fire based level you could feel the heat, when you were on the plains you felt as if they would go on forever. Truly a great game.

Sound: The music was a nice touch to the game, it only had a few songs, but they fit the atmosphere well. Voice acting was quite impressive, rarely did you have a stiff character voice.

Gameplay: It's an RPG...expect grinding. Over all I'd say it's great for beginner RPG fans.

Replayability: Aside from exploring dungeons, or following the anime key words you might only visit this world once...it's a worthy trip, that will last hours on end.

Fascinating series

I needed to finish my collection of the .hack series. It’s one of my favorites. This is one of the few games that I would pay an exorbitant amount for, just because I find the story so fascinating. I do think that the major price increases on the retro game market are sad. But hey, supply and demand right?Read full review...

Great product for a Dot Hack Fan

The fourth game in the series, this is a great game for anyone familiar with the Dot Hack series. It continues Kite's adventure to save his friend from a coma and the innovative story makes it even more fun to play. If you enjoy anime, this is a great game as some games come with anime DVDs of Dot Hack/Liminality, which is not based on the game. Overall, this is great for fans of Dot Hack.Read full review...

.hack//Quarantine

I intially bought the game because I had played others in the series. It is a fun game and is challenging at first but after playing for awhile you really get used to the battle systems and game play. I didnt like the tedious parts of the game but other than that it was very fun. When playing you really cant wait to move on in the storyline and some of the plot is very suspenseful. Although if buying this game it is wise to buy the earlier installements first so you can enjoy the game more fully. If you want a good storyline and a fun game to play this is the one for you.Read full review...

.hack: Quarantine

This last installment of the .hack series brings closure to the story with the added bonus of a bunch of extras to satisfy even after the end. Since I don't usually play games that you can keep playing after the first ending I thought it was a refreshing change and liked the challenge of getting all the movies, items, monsters, etc. By getting all the movies you don't have to worry about replaying some really annoying parts. Have fun!Read full review...

Is this the end?

Quarantine marks the 4th and final installation of the .hack series, and those who have played one or all of the previous installments should know the drill by now. That’s not to say that this isn't a good game, and I'd definitely recommend this title, however if this is your first foray into the .hack universe, pick up Infection, Mutation & Outbreak first.Read full review...

great game .hack//Quarantine

A great game one of the best RPG games for the PS2 that I've played, and while the game play does get a little boring after while and the dungeons are a bit repetitive, the story line and characters keeps pulling you back until you've finished the game. The best way to understand is to play it for yourselves.Read full review...
