This book is the easiest way to learn Japanese, buy it and study it

Personally, I needed to know what each Japanese word translated into English, to grasp it. While some people promote a non English learning of the Japanese language, by learning the Japanese characters and their sounds, this did not work for me. Ten minutes a day to learn a new language is really difficult, but makes it sound less difficult to grasp new ideas. I ended up spending at least a half hour to an hour each day or more reading and memorizing the Romaji/Hepburn spelling of Japanese words into English. For me memorizing the Japanese words and concepts were crucial to being able to progress to the next chapter. Not to say that I am now an expert in speaking Japanese, I have far to go to become a novice. By studying this book I am more confident that I can learn to read, write and speak Japanese. From studying this book, I was even able to understand what the name of a Japanese restaurant meant. Neat! Some concepts and word lists took several days to memorize, but that just could be the way my mind works.
Now, I am studying a Japanese character driven book to progress more toward not needing the English subtitles in Japanese movies and books. Thank you for "Japanese in 10 minutes a day: Language course for beginning and advanced study." I will be rereading this book again as a quick reference book.
