Sadly this is an error in design and I have paid a lot of money for a set of files which are not fit for purpose.

Plastic is too brittle and tears easily
Pleated sides reduce the width of file and prevent documents being inserted
Clumsy movement of runners in drawers catch frequently

Keeps control of 'obese' file contents !!

I'm usually quite happy with the normal foolscap filing cabinet folders, but there are some files which have enough stuff in them to make them bulge, and sometimes actually tear. I saw a recommendation to use these double width ones, so I'm giving them a go ! They work well, and have a 'gusset', so stuff doesn't fall out of the sides.Read full review...
