It occurs to me that the new producer is insensitive to the glory Vera represented. The first time we hear Vera sing the chorus of White Cliffs of Dover, she should be heard solo, not with a harmony voice however sung ....these songs are so important for England, for posterity, and respect is absent for the material.Read full review...

The great Vera Lynn but but anywhere near her best.
I love Vera Lynns recordings. But these are mostly old recordings - her voice was at its absolute best in the 1960's and 70's. And who needs the karaoke songs (they are NOT duets). Finally, 'Sailing' was not released as it is not good. Vera can sing almost anything - but not this song. Also was it a rehersal version?Read full review...
