An interesting and fun trip down Memory Lane !!

Superb book, highly recommended for an interesting and fun trip down Memory Lane ...and all those quirky 1970s fads and fashions !! ... My only criticism would be the glaring error in the commentary where D-Day (i.e. the date that the UK and Ireland converted to decimal currency) is incorrectly stated as 21 February 1971 ... the correct date is of course Monday 15th February 1971 (a fact confirmed if you look closely enough at the photos of a couple of the leaflets featured). In all other respects, this is a very enjoyable record of the popular culture of the era.

[Note: I have recently also purchased an earlier printing of this book, where the date of decimalisation is wrongly stated as 14 February 1971 (on page 5) ... It appears the original error (14 Feb) may have been picked up by the publisher but the attempt to correct it in later editions (to 21 Feb) unfortunately made things worse! Poor researching/editing leading to this historical inaccuracy! The correct date of decimalisation, as I have stated, was Monday 15 February 1971].

The Robert Opie 70s scrapbook does exactly what it says on the tin!

An excellent way to awaken nostalgic memories, full of colour photos. But note; this is not a reference book and has very little writing; it relies on the reader remembering the details of the products featured. Best bought 2nd hand I think as I think new it would be too expensive for what you get.Read full review...

'BLAST FROM THE PAST, 70'S'

OUTSTANDING BOOK, VERY LARGE WITH FULL COLOR PAGES.
WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND, CERTAINLY WORTH THE MONEY.
A STEP BACK IN TIME, BRINGING WONDERFUL MEMORIES BACK.
I BOUGHT THIS BOOK FOR A BIRTHDAY GIFT.
A FANTASTIC GIFT FOR BOTH MALE AND FEMALE.
I HAD LOOKED AT OTHER BOOKS SIMILAR, BUT THEY WERE SMALL WITH
NOT AS MANY COLOR PICTURES.
THIS IS THE BOOK TO BUY FOR A ' BLAST FROM THE PAST'
5***** THANK YOU VERY MUCH
