Very critical that the mortar is the right consistancy

With this product it is very important that the mixture of the mortar is absolutely perfect with a plasticiser added. Also a kiln dried fine sand makes mixing easier. As soon as the gun is loaded use it immediately. The mortar can tend to settle and solidify making it impossible to to get it out of the gun. Using a grout that is more like plastic would be much better but I could not find a product that I could use. It is important that no mortar gets into the trigger mechanism because otherwise it won't work. When it works as it should it is brilliant and fast. For grouting paving slabs it is great at getting into small gaps. For re pointing it must be better because it will get into the gaps between the bricks compared to using a pointing trowel. A selection of nozzles gives a lot of options for different jobs. I havn't regretted buying the product but be aware of its limitation and skill is needed to get it to work correctly with the right product in the gun.Read full review
