I owned the brand before! So, I was familiar with the product! The smell is not over powering, it removes 5-7 layers of polish fairly quickly. I'll either soak a cotton ball rub it on & let it sit for a few minutes. Or pour some in the cap or small container & soak nails in. Some say Pure Actone is too drying but I haven't experienced much with this brand. I don't have the patience, effort or time for waiting for long to remove the polish!
