Propane cylinder convenience.
These connectors are great if you have a need to disconnect your appliance (for instance blow torch) regularly from the supply. The part which connects to the appliance can be bought separately, so any number of different appliances can be fitted with a short supply pipe terminating in an extra connector while the main connector is fitted to the main pipe from the propane cylinder. These couplings are well made and compact. Others I have had have been much wider and bulky.
