Just about right.
I've been using a pair of QTX QR8K speakers of a friend for small gigs playing my ambient techno. The speakers are excellent for electronic music with sub-basses and crisp hi hats. So I bought my own pair.
There is a low buzz from both but it doesn't get louder when the volume is turned up so I'll accept the buzz as normal for cheap pa speakers. I do like them for my music at gigs of up to 60 people.Read full review...

Not briliant, even if it's cheap
Even though these can be found for quite cheap, the audio quality leaves a lot to be desired and has quite a loud hiss. The amp's non-existent power supply also means quite a lot of popping when audio or power is connected or disconnected, even if it's not being plugged into the speaker itselfRead full review...
