Very good quality, great size

I was worried about these tires being short as a lot of 4.00-8 tires are shorter than 16" - these were actually about 17.5" tall, and when mounted on a 3.75" wide rim, fill the width out nicely too. I highly recommend these, the lugs are deep, and the quality seems very good. I have bought a lot of tires from Greater Cleveland Tire, and are usually the first place I check. They are great tires for the money, thanks for keeping the prices low!Read full review

Good tires for a bargain price

I have not had the long enough to know of the quality of resistance to the elements and sunlight. I did have to use a professional tire service to air and seat the bead. When first installed on the rims, I did not think the 400 width tires would be wide enough to seal on the rims due to the original tires being 480x8. The tires look good on the tiller and they arrived in 2 days. The least expensive tires I found locally were 42.00 each.Read full review

Not bad at all

These have a tall profile with deep, aggressive lugs. I think they’re better than the original tires on my tiller. I didn’t find any manufacturing flaws and they were easy to mount.

Nice deep lugs

These fit fine on an old Troy Bilt Horse tiller. The extra deep lugs add some much needed traction. The tires are difficult to seal (as all tires are), but ratcheting cable around the diameter squeezed them to the rims and created enough seal to begin inflation.Read full review

I was thrilled to find a pair of affordable tires for my tiller. My original tires were 4.80-8 and these are 4.00-8. They are a bit narrower but the same height. They fit and work great.

The tires are a little narrower than the original tread width wise, but they grip the soil and no slippage in the garden soil. Easily mounted.

Hard to seat the bead but otherwise a good value. Noticably smaller than the 4.80-8 tires it claims to replace but does work. I had trouble seating the bead and had to slightly over inflate the tires to get them to stay on at first.Read full review
