Genuine Intelliheat control, working perfectly (used for three weeks so far)
I need to amend my original review (see below). The replacement controller has also now stopped working, despite lights on controller still coming on; checked by swapping over with working controller and it is definitely another fault. Clearly this is a manufacturing fault by the company making them and so this make (Dreamland) of electric blanket should be avoided. It is clear from reviews that others have had the same experience. To keep replacing the controller every couple of years (with minimal use) is not cost effective. Will probably try something else now for the winter.
This was a genuine replacement part for a controller with a new electric blanket that stopped working after 3 years for no obvious reason. The light was even coming on with the original but no power reaching the blanket filaments. I had disconnected the original controller for storage of the blanket over the summer, which it is designed to do and then when reconnected the light came on but no heat generated. No obvious visual fault. Ordered the replacement controller and this worked fine - so will not disconnect this new one and will see how long it lasts!Read full review

Poor quality duvet controller.
The original controller that came with duvet when new didn't last very long before the main on/off switch failed requiring me to buy this replacement controller which I hope will perform better than the original one. Because of this relatively early failure, I couldn't in all honesty recommend the product as a whole to anyone else. The blanket itself is serviceable, but without a more robust controller, it doesn't to my mind represent good value.Read full review

Slumberland electric blanket.
I purchased this "controller" after the one (of two) supplied refused to work after limited use for less than 18 months. The blanket was bought from Argos who refused "point blank" to consider any action as it was over 12 months despite a 3 year guarantee. Slumberland require the blanket to be sent back incurring about 15 pounds postage and an "inspection" charge on top. It was less bother to buy another controller than go through the hassle of dealing with slumberland. As for Argos -- the less said the better.

Good replacement controller
The controller works fine with my old electric blanket and saved me from having to buy a new one. Only slight issue is that if you leave it on the timer setting to switch itself off, there is a bright blue light on it after it has switched off which illuminates the room quite a bit.Read full review

Perfect replacement for defunct Dreamland blanket controls.
The original electronic control seems to be a weak spot in the Dreamland blanket design.
This replacement provides and economical and good quality option for those owners whose original controls are not working.

Replacement Controller
This was a replacement for an older version and fits well. There is a fast heat position that lets the blanket heat up within a few minutes, but don't leave it on too long as it really gets hot, but does not catch fire as the temp is controlled. The 9 hour setting is really good when combined with 5 or below.
