24x36 :A Movie about Movie Posters (DVD, 2016)

I collect movie posters. The most common is the one-sheet which measures 27 x 41 inches. The movie is titled "24 x 36" which is not a common poster size, but I was still interested. The movie points out that posters used to be drawn by an artist an used scenes intended to peak the interest of potential viewers. Modern posters have become nothing more than photos of the stars faces, so artists have drawn their own posters in an attempt to bring back the spirit of the older posters. These new posters are 24 x 36 and are wonderful art. Example, the Steve McQueen movie Bullitt was a great movie with one of the dullest posters I've ever seen. One of the 24 x 36 artists could do much better and hopefully they will. This movie compares old to new and offers a wonderful alternative to the current dull poster.
