In the old days, laundresses used to rub glycerine on their hands to keep them soft. It works - glycerine bonds to the outer layer of your skin, and attracts water into it. These bottles are cheap enough to treat your whole body after a shower.
You can also blend it with oils & creams (using a kitchen mixer) to make very soothing body lotions.
Glycerine's quite good for making unruly hair shiny - it's a sticky liquid, though, so use the tiniest amount if you try this.Read full review...

Fabulous for very dry skin.
I have very dry skin and have spent a fortune on products which promise to alleviate this but only make a slight difference. This glycerine product is very cheap but it works! Sometimes I use it as it is, sometimes I mix a few drops into other body lotions to make them work. A little goes a very long way so the small bottle I bought will last for ages. Long lasting, great moisturiser.
It's an excellent moisturiser, better than lotion particularly if you have dry skin. Also you don't have to use much, so it lasts longer and two 200ml bottles for £4.99 is a bargain. It's worth buying.
N.B.- It's thick so if you're going to apply it to your skin directly, it's best used right after your shower/bath and you've towel dried yourself somewhat and left some moisture on your skin. The water helps soften it.Read full review...
