I use this as a tonic after cleaning my Endler aquarium. I've seen this save fish that I thought couldn't be saved so in an emergency it's one of the quality concoctions that actually work like they say they do. I always have this good stuff on hand.Thumbs up! THANKS!!!Read full review

Not so great.

I have used this product in the past. However I have used it with snails and plants to cycle a tank quickly. And I thought I got good results. Then I found out I can cycle a tank using plants and snails alone. So I don't think this helped at all. I think I was cycling my tank with the plants and snails and the Fritz did not matter. I needed a 15 gallon cycled quickly. I set up the tank as a quarantine. I put a HOB aqua clear 30 a sponge on the intake and added an additional sponge in side the filter. I started this tank Sept 10 using only one plant and about 5 cups (put in every time I did a water change) of Fritz. As of today November 2 the tank has not cycled. Ammonia is high and Nitrite is high. This is the only tank I did not use snails to cycle. I would not purchase this product again.Read full review

Good quality means no stink at 1st uncorking.

Great product if bought from reputable seller.
I have bought from the BIG A (prime), think about it. And have gotten more out dated, spoiled bottles because of large warehouse inventory sitting too long.
There should be a purple ish red tint to it, it should a light smell. If it stinks and or brownish color, it's dead Jim. (Lol).
Don't use it! It will ruin your tank faster than the flash in a foot race. Really.
I have used both (seven for fresh water) and (nine for saltwater) for decades.
These are (live) bacteria and as w any live critter, no matter how big or small, if it is dead it decays.Read full review
