Waster pump
Its my third one, literally put your hose on tie a rope to the handle, never use the electric leads to lower and raise, drop in the water and turn on, water gets low, automatcally swutches off. Only thing on this model is a standard uk hose will not fit without a reducer.
Works really well for light or domesticRead full review...

Don't buy it, unless you really know what you are doing!
The instructions are very unclear which can very easily lead one to wrongly saw-offf the first nipple; there are also misprints on the instructions and no advice about how an where to obtain the right tap adapters. and when you get there there seems to be confusion over diameters (internal or external?) and even metric and imperial on the internet.Read full review...

Submersible pump
Can I just say what an absolutely marvellous piece of kit this is. Very quick to empty my pool. Goes lower than the last one so gets out more water. Canβt fault it at all. Small and compact. Excellent value. Definitely a fan!! ππRead full review...

It is a lot less powerful than claimed.
I use the pump to lift water ~2 metres up my back garden. It works but the flow is painfully small. My estimate is that it can only pump about 200 litres with one hour. It would be more useful if my garden is flat. Read full review...
Great
We use it to empty our hot tub, is only takes a short time rather then waiting hours for it to drain & you can put the hose where you want the water to go ... great bit of kit for us.

Not what I wanted, but still useful
I bought a back-up pump to my Clarke pump, unfortunately the Ebay description did not say it could run for only 1 hour & then needed cooling, whereas I wanted a continuous pump to eventually replace the Clarke.
That said, this pump works great for draining my pond, which takes about 1 hour, ergo I decided to keep it & because it saves me uncoupling etc the Clarke so to drain the pond.
To be frank however, next time I will buy a continuous run, pump, probably another Clarke.Read full review...

This pump is well made.
I had not used our old pump before, but after reading the instructions to the new pump, I realized that the old one was working fine and that it needed to be emerged in water before the motor would start up, but as the new pump is robust, I'm more than happy to keep it as a spare.
