Had lots of hard oak to split in to firewood logs from old tree.

Works well on dry wood but on wet logs break off in pieces,if you hammer it in the middle it can get stuck.

Easy to use than a large axe

I used it with a 4lb club hammer and it splits the logs very well, often into 3 or 4 pieces. I used it on a wooden board on concrete as it can exit quickly and hit the floor, so the board prevents the floor and the sharp tip from damage. Log splitter

This splitter works to split logs, however it also produced shards of steel that cut fingers etc. Last time I buy a cheaper product. This is almost unusable.
