Did my job quite well
I wanted to drill lots of holes in tree stump and I managed to do it using the long drill bits as you need to reach closer to the roots. However you require a powerful drill with high torque to make it work and have to be careful with the long bits as when rotating can be very high risk. I was aĺl the time worried that the bits may break but thankfully nothing went wrong. Lots of safety care should be considered as this type of work is very risky.Read full review...

Long auger bits but not that tough.
I bought these bits to drill out a rotten gate post. I needed long bits (600 mm) and they certainly ticked the box in this respect. Unfortunately they blunted surprisingly quickly. The stump is still stuck in place. Read full review...

Good, low cost functional tool, recommended.
Needed very long drill bits to go through two telegraph poles at once (the whole length of the drill). Used the thin 8mm drills in a cordless drill, which not only worked perfectly drilling lots of holes, it did not bend out of shape. These are good drills, and will do the work for which they are intended. You can buy with confidence.Read full review...

Great drill bits
Bought to drill 8mm hole through 450mm deep sold oak.
Drill did a perfect job. Just remember to use slow speed and keep withdrawing to remove cut wood. Very pleased with drill bits.
Arrived quicker than date quoted 👍Read full review...

It had to be a long one!
I recently needed to drop a new mains electric. cable down behind my TV through a false (stud & p'board) frontage attached to my chimney breast. Initially all went according to plan until I hit an unexpected 3 x 2 bearer about 18" below my ceiling level from the loft - this was as far as I could drill downwards with my 18" masonry bit -aargh! So I searched EBay and found a set of 4 × wood auger bits that were 600mm (24") long. I used the 16mm diameter drill to do the job - like a hot knife through butter - great Job! and using a proper wood bit was the sensible thing to do as the masonry bit wanted to set the timber on fire rather than go through it in any case - so saved the bungalow from catching fire too! To sum up 4 x auger wood bits for less than £15 - the largest being a massive 24mm diameter and all 600mm long - great value - buy with confidenceRead full review...
