Had the brake light come on, I knew that the pads and disc were in great shape, fluid was good too, no leaks in the lines, went online, began to read up on the causes and everywhere i looked, it pointed to the cap, checked on prices, this was by far the most reasonable and OEM, ordered, received it and replaced it and light is gone, all is good again.Read full review

Looks like regular Toyota/Lexus quality part. Have not installed yet but pretty certain it will function properly. Saved money over buying this part from the dealer, but still not what I would call a "reasonable" price for something like this. The fix to the “brake” warning light
The cap fixed my constant “brake” warning light. I had replaced my brake pads, rotors, parking brake shoes and even done a full brake fluid bleed. Still the light didnt go away. Albeit I did the changes not because of the light but because it was time. As a final effort to remove that warning light I had heard that these caps go bad in my generation of lexus RX300s. Master cylinder cap
Our RX300 brake warning light was flashing intermittently, accompanied by a frequent "ding ding" sound. The brakes checked good but the flashing lights and sound persisted. Turns out the Master cylinder cap has a sensor that needed to be replaced. New cap and problem solved!Read full review

Quick delivery and discounted price on OEM part
Replacing the old part with this part stopped the bell alarm and flashing light on dash. But Lexus ought not have put this unnecessary and expensive part in, in the first place!
