Really magical story that the whole family will enjoy. Not the average animation, lovely story line and characters.

We decided to buy it because it was one of Tim Burtons films and we loved Corpse Bride so we thought this would be just as good but it wasn't it was very dark and boring my husband fell asleep half way through.Read full review...

Life will survive........

This is an great movie. Though it seems quite a dark tale of the future, it's really only visually so, as the story itself is quite an intelligent and heart-warming tale.

Many animations claim to be 'visually astounding' but will end up with nothing that could not be done with live action, if not for the cost, but this movie is beautiful - the story could not be told if not for animation. The characters, though not human, seem to be have dipped in a pot of realism, and in the end it's only the fact that they are not human which makes you remember that it's an animated tale.

Another Excellent Tim Burton Film

Excellent DVD, great for all ages. Another brilliant film from Tim Burton. Great story, lovely characters, can make you jump in places and some sad bits. My whole family enjoyed watching it. I bought it because it looked interesting, hadnt even seen it advertised before. was on sky films, son went to watch it but we got rid of sky before he could watch the end, so bought DVD. I purchased the DVD's to watch for Christmas. I have no reason to think, as they were wrapped, there is no reason to give then a bad score. I am looking forward to watching them Christmas.
