A Dog's Purpose (DVD) - Beautiful, made me cry!
Not your average dog story for kids. My husband teaches kids with emotional/behavioral problems and was surprised when one of them actually requested this movie to watch with the class. He told my husband, "If this movie doesn't make you cry, there's something wrong with you." And it was truly a beautiful story of a dog who go through a number of different lives always asking the same question, "but what does it mean? what's the purpose of my life?" The ending is unexpected and quite touching. I think most kids would really like "A Dog's Purpose," but they'll probably drop a tear or two.Read full review

The movie followed the book accurately. If you were moved by the book you will be by the movie. Even if you didn't read the book you will still be entertained and moved by the lives, and humans he loved, of this one dog's soul and its finally finding that one special boy he loved in an early life 40 odd years later as a grown man.

Buy this movie, you will like it.
This is a very good movie, it shows how a young man will fall in love with the dog, and how the dog will love him. The dog lets him know when another young man put firecrackers into the mail delivery on the front door of his and his mom's house and those firecrackers set the house on fire. The dog attacked the man who put those firecrackers into the house, then the dog went back into the house and woke the young man up and he woke his mom up. They all got out of the house. The young man who lived at the house had gotten a 4-year scholarship to play football, but when he got out of the house, he and his mom and dog were on the 2nd floor, and they had to go out a window and as he let all of them down the dog with the sheet tied around it fell to the ground and the young man had to jump and broke his leg. I had, very much, been looking forward to the DVD release of this movie. The story moves along nicely. Unfortunately, some scenes were cut and it would have made this a better movie. (The officer 'loosening up' and being playful and loving to his dog.)
All, in all, I enjoyed watching it and have done so several times, since purchase.
