Great book for any man, as a gift or just for yourself!

Great gift for any man! This book is great in the fact that it’s really relatable. It’s not just about watches, it’s a journey into another man’s life and experiences. You feel connected with all the individuals and understand how they allocate each memory with their watch right there with them. If you want a fun read, with great stories, and to feel connected with another person, no matter if your personalities are alike or not, I highly suggest purchasing. It’s easy to read as well. It helps you look forward to the future but makes you appreciate the past. It helps you remember time in general (that is the purpose of a watch isn’t it?). As a man, when conversing with other men in day to day life, you talk about your watch or get complimented, but you rarely go converse about what all you and your watch have been through together. Sometimes you forget that accessory that’s been with you for so many years.

In the day and age of having time right in your pocket on a cell phone, you wonder why even wear a watch. I asked myself this many times (no pun intended). But this book reassures the importance of men wearing watches and how each man can express their individuality with what watch they choose.

Typically there isn’t literature on men’s style that is so relatable or worth taking time out of your day to read. And typically men don’t read about fashion, or at least I don’t. But this brings such relatable (can’t use that term enough) content that makes you appreciate waking up and looking good for the day.

A watch is a man’s best companion, and really tells a tale about the man wearing it. It tells others who you are and what your about without any words. I, for example, wear mostly gold watches. For me, it’s a statement of being bold, recognizable, and a little extra ;) It tells people, I care what they think....but also don’t. It tells people a little about my culture and helps make me an individual. I am not just a senseless man. I am a man with individual taste but am proud of the common stigmas of my heritage and culture as well. The watch does all of this, but sadly, I, like many other men, am very forgetful. I forget the watch on my wrist. This book makes you more self aware of not only your personality, but what you find stylish, useful, and telling. It really brings out appreciation and a new perspective for your watch.

If you’re a man, I highly suggest this book. Men can perceive a sense of companionship with the writers in the book. People say, dogs are a man’s best friend, but I say my watch is...after my wife ‘of course’. It never leaves my side, and if it does, I feel somehow empty without it. Wake up gentlemen, watches are still relevant and this book brings all the confirmation you need. A book by men for men.

Fun for watch guys

Great, light, weekend reading if you’re into watches. Plenty of pictures with brief vignettes about the watches and the men who own them. Very light on technical specs and heavy on story telling.

Love this book!

Really well done and covers every type of watch collector! It has some wonderful and touching stories of the memories attached to the watches these men own and wear. A watch really is a reflection of the man.Read full review...

Good casual read

This book captures what I like about watches and watch collecting. It’s not always about a price tag or luxury. Watches are about memories or can tell a story. While I don’t know who all the people are in the book, I like their stories and history behind their watches.Read full review...

Great book - very interesting!! It has the human element!!

This is a great book with great photos!! The stories about the owners of the wristwatches are fascinating! This book captures the essence of a watch. It not about cold steel. It's about the human element - how the owners feel about their watches. And that's what is interesting. This book should be a lot more expensive for what it is. The great photos, the expensive construction, the beautiful stories. But this book is relatively inexpensive. But at any cost this is a great book! It's the most interesting watch book out there.Read full review...
