A modern classic, with a bonus....JOHNNY DEPP

Well I remember first watching this film in the 80's and It scared me silly. Now I'm a little older, with many horror films watched. it still scared me.
Englunds freddy kruger has got to be the scariest horror ememy since nosferatu. He is Brilliant. Johnny Depp appears in his first ever film in this and its fasinating on how wooden and nervous he seems in this film, but look at him now.
I enjoyed watching this film again, it is a classic, creepy and has all the elements that a horror film should have. Wes cravens Nightmare on Elm Street is a modern day classic, and shouldnt be missed by any horror film fans.
If your a first time watcher, then you will be in for a treat, and see if you can spot a very young gorgeous Johnny Depp. BRILLIANT!!!Read full review...

aww Johnny Depp :)

great movie, felt a little comfused by the end, but this makes it a bit more scarey. I felt it was a solid story with a great villan. Where everyone thinks the girl is crazy makes it more believable and seeing johnny depp that young is funny :) He is'nt as slick and death defying as Captain Jack Sparrow yet lol

But i might try and get Nightmare on elm street 2 one day to see what happens after :)Read full review...

dvd nightmare on elm street 1

we decided to buy this dvd because it was our first purchases.
The only thing is the dvd doesnt work, it needs converted because it is in forigen. Not happy atall about this infact it has putten me off buying more items off ebay,i was going to purchase concert tickets but have decided to change my mind now due to the fact that i dont think i will get them.

A Nightmare on Elm Street dvd

My son has been nagging for some time, that he would like a creepy jump out of your skin, type of horror film, and this film instantly sprung to mind.

I first watched it when I was 15 (same age as him) plus, as the film is teen orientated, I thought it would be ideal.

The fact that most of the bad stuff happens to the bad kids also appealed, ie: promiscuous girl and boy from wrong side of tracks are the 1st victims of our evil creepy anti-hero (Freddie Kruger.)

The good girl triumphs over evil, in that Freddie never manages to quite get to Nancy. (Although he puts her through hell for most of the film)

My son is looking forward to the box set that I just purchased from ebay, of course.

Why lezz bought a cheesy old slasher DVD on ebay!

Basically I bought this film because I'm a Johnny Depp fan. I am 39 years old and have collected 42 films of his on DVD. Most of these have been bought on ebay over the last 5 years. i have a filmography of johnny depp and am trying to collect every film he's been in. some are good, some are strange, watched only once! but he puts 100% into everything he does, and that's why I like him. Thank god for ebay otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get some of them coz they're unavailable in this country.

A nightmare on elm street 1

This is a fantastic horror, even if you like watching them this will scare you to death. I love the character of freddy he just looks so evil. The film is so old yet still gets you going by far the best horror to date. Ive not watched a horror that has made me this scared in years. Excellent film and would recomend to anyone who loves to hide under the covers loves the thrill of being scared.Read full review...

first role and he was great!!!
Freddy was amazing, out of this world.
This also had really gory and jumpy
scenes in it aswell!!!
