Pathetic scheme to keep you paying
The product is good, the fact that you spend so much on a meter and only get 2 uses out of it is absurd. What a waste. Not to mention you can't buy additional test packets to use it regularly with same meter. A money grabbing scheme. It's cheaper to get the reading from my Dr's visit. The copay is much less!Read full review

A1c Now is Quick but Not Accurate
Yesterday I performed a comparison between a laboratory A1c measurement (venipuncture from my arm) and compared it to two A1c Now kits from different lot numbers. The kits were only 0.1% different on two separate comparisons. Thus they are reproducible. But they were 0.4% off from the actual laboratory test. When I did this about 18 months ago when Bayer produced the kits everything was within 0.1%. The kits are now reading consistently 0.4% LOWER than the actual blood tests. Should you simply add 0.4% to the kits reading? Maybe, but I would only depend on these kits putting you in the ball park not giving you a precise reading which your doctor can provide you with a more sophisticated laboratory A1c test which is calibrated every day to be accurate. Even the material the A1c Now kits are made from are a lower quality than the original Bayer kits. I am very disappointed. Glucose meters are extremely accurate but these kits fall far short of being accurate readings.Read full review

A worthless product as it is not accurate. Don't waste your time or money.
I used the A1cnow kit to test my A1c twice, i.e. an hour apart. I was ecstatic when my first test showed 5.4 because I had disciplined myself to a very low carb diet to get myself out of the prediabetic range I was in at 5.7. 5.4 = SUPER. I was thrilled only to be totally disappointed when my second test one hour later showed 5.9. I did nothing; ate nothing, etc. during that one hour interval.
I could accept a .1 or a .2 difference but a .5 difference means this home test kit is useless.Read full review

price has gone up but still worth it
The price has gone up since I last bought one (it has been a while) and it looks like a different company is selling it now, but it is still easy to use and accurate. It is exactly like the ones I used to buy at a big box store and those were accurate with the lab. Use it with confidence. You get the A1C result from the meter in 5 minutes and the whole procedure from start (pricking your finger) and getting the result is about 7 minutes in all unless you are using it for the first time and even then I would think it only would take 10 minutes from start to finish. The instructions are clear and and illustrated well.Read full review

hard to use
not a user friendly unit, you get ONE try and if you don't get right, you can put it in trash and say good buy to your money, I give this a NO STAR rating.

error
2 times test both show error. I wasted $45. Better buy in Walgreen.
I called your customer service but made me wait for almost 40 minutes then
It said we all you back.
