Nicely produced older kit

This is an older kit from Airfix, and it is nicely produced. Most parts fit together well, and the car is accurate to scale. The acrylic paints that are supplied with this starter set are not my usual choice, as I prefer to use enamel paints, but otherwise this is an excellent kit.Read full review

Not as good as I would have thought.

The paints were not numbered and very much below the quality I would expect from Airfix. Some of the parts were much too small to be fixed or even identifiable. The part numbers were not in sequence or even on the same square of plastic and I had to use a magnifying glass to see some of the numbers.

The white paint especially was not up to standard and wasn't even gloss that could be used on the body work.

I did manage to put my own original registration number on it when I had a Herald many years ago. Read full review

Airfix Model

Paint quality terrible

Bought this in the hope of a diversion during lock down. However when I set about painting the model prior to assembly using the paints supplied with the kit it quickly emerged that the acrylic paints as supplied were wholly inadequate being runny, having low adherence and resulting in a poor outcome.
