Easy installstion
Before buying a solar trickle charger make sure your cigarette lighter functions without the ignition on. I knew mine didn’t as my dashcam stops working when I turn off ignition. As I’m a 79 year old woman with non mechanical knowledge thought I would read up recommendations, so glad I did and realised I needed an OEBD connection. Quick check on Utube showed me where to locate it. When it eventually stopped raining today took all of 3 minutes to install it into the car. Not using the car during lock down means every time I switch on the ignition I have to take the car for a spin as it tells me the battery needs charging!! Now it’s charge up hope this will Maintain the battery. One less thing to worry about!! This is a very well made and packaged piece of kit. Read full review...

East to connect and ideal for purpose
Have had one before which is now used by a friend and keeps the battery charged during the poor light of winter and when away on holiday. Does exactly what itnwhat it describes 'a trickle charger'.

Keeps car battery charged
I use my car at most twice a week for 5 mile journeys. This has allowed me to maintain a healthy battery even during the cold spell car started first and every time . Easy to use.

Not very good product
When connected to my car through the OBD port and in very bright sunlight the readout voltage shown is just 11.5v - ie Nowhere near 12 or 13v. And the battery has gone flat while trying to use this appliance.Read full review...

Obd solar charger
Due to most cars 12v socket being ignition feed this obd option is great, the panel is slightly heavier than expected because of the glass panel, in low light the led flashes slowly as daylight increases so dose the flash rate. As described it is a maintainer and will not charge flat batteries, ideal for low use vehiclesRead full review...

easy to instal Very pleased
It solved my problem on my land rover discovery sport management system telling me my battery was low even after i had travelled 80 miles. I just plug it into the obd socket whenever I am not using the car.Read full review...

AA Solar Car Battery Charger
It is early days yet. I have connected the charger to the car battery via the port under the steering wheel. The blue light flashes during the day, indicating that it is receiving sunlight. When I start the car it seems to have a well charged battery, even though it isn't being driven for long periods of time. The charger seems to be doing its job, but the battery was in good condition when I bought it. It is a handy device. Easy to use and practical. Read full review...

the light of the charge brigade
It appears to work as described although even in brilliant sunlight the blue led still only flashed rather than being continuous. Perhaps that is just because of the location being England with polluted air maybe .
Even so I definitely notice the difference when my car has been left for a week using the OBD port.Read full review...

A good product
working very well, our car is only seldom used, especially at the minute due to covid 19. we were having a right old bother to start it, but all good now. we made sure to fully charge our car battery by going for a long run, then fitted the solar powered trickle charger, and had no trouble since. well worth the cost.Read full review...

Solar panel for car batteries
Not using car as often. The charging light on my previous solar panel was difficult to see. Did try the OBD2 but didn’t seem to work with my Honda Jazz. I had an ‘always on’ port fitted and now seems to be doing the job. It seems to work even on cloudy days.Read full review...
