With modern tires getting wider and wider, these heavy duty narrower rims could get hard to find.

These rims are well designed and made, low profile, rim brake sidewalls, old school. Taiwan and Alex have earned reputations for making high quality bicycle components and these are great rims. At 18.4mm internal width they are good for 700 x 28, 32 and 35c tires, all within ETRTO safety specs. They have single eyelets, are drilled for presta valves and have a reputation for being of gorilla strength, strong and durable. But at about 600 grams each these rims are fine for commuters and tourists but are too heavy for road bike weight weenies, so now there are fewer and fewer consumers buying them, and so get these while they are still available.
