Excellent freesync monitor

With a freesync range of 48-75Hz out of the box, this is ideal for gamers looking to get the best out of mid-high AMD card such as a R9 285 or 290. Freesync removes the lag associated with V-sync and eliminates tearing and the effect is sublime in games like Battlefield 4.
In the box you'll find all types of leads but you'll have to use the displayport lead and set the monitor to Displayport 1.2 to get freesync working. Keep V-sync switched on in games too for when the frame rate drops below the 48Hz lower limit.
The build quality is pretty average for the price range, but this is perfectly adequate and the monitor looks good with a faux brushed metal look (it's plastic). The stand is a simple fixed height with tilt. The higher end AOC freesync models have tilt/height/swivel. The image is pleasant enough and the colour and contrast are fine although you may want to tweak gamma if that's important to you. Set the brightness to about 20% for all round use.
