Brand new. Works great... but turn batt. sideways.

This UPC was new as described and was exactly what I was looking for. I presently have several APC ES350 battery backups that are older models. This one takes the same batteries as the older models and worked great. Note: when you install the battery in this new model, it must be turned sideways to fit in the slot for the battery. (The older models allowed the battery to be installed with the battery connections facing the cover opening. Took me a few minutes to figure out why the battery would not fit in the battery compartment like the older models. :-) )Read full review...

Excellent compact choice for keeping sensitive electronics safe

I got this because our town has always had good power but over the past several months we had experienced several brief (5 seconds or less) losses of power. Each time this happened certain equipment, notably DVRs would reboot which is not conducive to long life. So I got two of these to protect some equipment that does not need a more powerful unit. Works as it should...great for short time power needs

First off..bigger than I thought it would be..we live in a rural area that is somewhat prone to power glitches and outages..we have a whole house back up generator and I had no need of one of these since we used laptops and they had batteries..we have since gone to all in ones, which do not have batteries..hence the need. Already once since installing we have had a power outage and these have worked great...we only need about 10-15 seconds of battery power until our generator takes over and these fit the bill...good niche product. P.S. These will last a lot longer than 15 seconds..that is just our need. It all depends on your power drain.Read full review...

What's better than new?
