ASM Hydrasynth Desktop - Amazing!! Believe the Hype!!

Everything you have heard about this synth in the reviews online is spot on.

Absolutely amazing.

Sound can't be faulted...sounds even better in the flesh!!
Built like a tank.
Knobs & pots are solid.
Work-flow is so intuitive even if you are used to having a knob or button for each function.
LEDs show you activity in each component (e.g., LFO or an envelope) if it's being used it will light accordingly and brightness linked to amount/level etc.
Button pads are very expressive with velocity sensitivity and after-touch.
Hands-on live play is great.

Only slight issue so far is that the button pads require a little bit of time to bed in but this is common for many similar desktop style synths/drum machine etc.

If I could make one change, it would be to have included a small version of the ribbon controller found on the keyboard as this opens a whole other dimension to its creativity and live playability.

Amazing piece of kit. Very versitile with deep programming functionality. Very intuitive to use, not even looked at the manual yet. Been playing around with it for weeks with just the presets and now starting to create new patches which is a lot of fun. Build quality is outstanding and feels premium for the price.
