Beware

I'm afraid that these machines are no good if they have been updated to the 5.1 Android operating system. They become so slow with this update that they simply don't work as one would expect. It is next to impossible to down-grade them as a novice and so my advice is do not buy these machines unless you know what you are doing.Read full review...

Works very well, great screen, but only if left running on early Android as original

Very good if left running on Kitkat Android 4.4 but do NOT upgrade or it will become unusably slow and once upgraded you cannot go back (without a huge amount of trouble which, if you do not do it right - very easy to not do it right - will make the tablet irretrievably dead.) Cant fault the Asus Nexus 7

Ive bought 6 of these for my family and they are always up to date with software/security and there's nothing you cant do on this tablet. Fast excellent video playback. Really can't fault them at all except some models have encountered faults like unresponsive screen i find this to be in 2013 models. 2012 are still up to date and as fast as you need.Read full review...

FAULTY, DIDN'T WORK, ORDERED ANOTHER WHICH ALSO DIDNT WORK

bought this as i was told it was a decent good value tablet from argos ebay

received it and was on 50% battery so i plugged it in and noticed it was only charging about 1% every half hour - came to realise even when plugged in it was starting to actually lose charge.. was supplied with another charger which did no good..

ordered another thinking it was a one off.. this one wouldnt even switch on past the 4 circle google animation on startup

Nexus 7 (1st gen)

These work very well for most on-the-go uses. My only advice... DO NOT 'upgrade' to Lollipop - tablet will become unusable. Flash back to KitKat if you're having problems - instructions on web.
