Nick Cave doesn't dissapoint

I'm a new-ish discoverer of Nick Cave's back catalogue. This double cd is great value for finding some of the great variety of his years of output. In recent weeks I've bought 6 of his albums and Abbatoir Blues has the phenomenal (and my current favourite Cave track) 'There She Goes My beautiful World' - an upbeat (turn it up loud) surging ache for inspiration that artists of any genre (and others) will relate to. With tracks for many moods, this album and the companion 'Lyre of Orpheus' have no dud tracks. It has a great booklet of lyrics. If you like 'The Boatmans Call' 'Push Away the Sky' and more recently 'Skeleton tree', This is also Cave at his accessible best.Read full review...
