For strong sparks only

If you have a good strong spark, the lamp works fine. However, a weak spark and you won’t get any kind of strobe effect, which was a problem for me. Also, the Leads are a bit short, I had to extend with jump leads.Read full review...

Effective

Simple and easy to use, lightweight, good strong white light for viewing timing marks. Ideal for a variety of older engines that don't depend on ecu's.

Really Bright stroboscope

I bought this to set the timing on my Lambretta scooter after being off the road for 47 years. You need to hook it up to a 12v battery but I was really impressed at how easy it is to use and how bright the flash of the lamp is. It was no problem seeing the marks on my flywheel even outside in bright daylight. Highly recommended.Read full review...

Make light work of ignition timing

I recently bought an old motorbike with points and condenser ignition. This timing light enabled me to set the ignition timing very accurately and to check the operation of the mechanical timing advance. It is very easy to use, connect the crocodile clips to your vehicle battery and the sensor lead to the spark plug lead which fires when the points open. The light flashes as the spark plug fires and you can see how the timing marks line up. Read full review...

Good price, does the job well.

Old but previously unused Gunson Timestrobe didn't work, searched this one out as being different to run of mill "high street" ones. Worked perfectly on my old Jag, bright light, cables just the right length, good instructions even got an on switch on.Read full review...

S8000 Timing Light

I ordered this to check the dynamic timing on my Citroen Dyane.
It is very easy to use and provides a powerful light, and so it is easy to see the timing against the flywheel / gearbox casing. It is powered by leads which are connected to the battery via clips, and the sensor simply clamps around the HT lead. I am very pleased with it.Read full review...
