Magic healing properties

I've used this Manuka honey 'ointment' to heal all sorts of doggy ailments in recent years and it is magical stuff. When my old dog had cuts on the tips of his ears (that failed to respond to vet treatment) I was prescribed this very product by my vet. It's quite sticky bit pleasant to use and it's tackiness helps it stay on wounds or sore patches more easily. Archie's ears healed in days (after months of unsuccessful medication did no good) The ointment forms a natural barrier and the Manuka heals even the most open & sore wounds. My welsh terrier had chewed a bald red patch recently.. I put a tiny layer over the spot & it was healed in 2 days. A lampshade collar stopped Percy licking the Manuka off but otherwise it's a cheap natural & very effective problem solver. I'd recommend everyone has it in their first-aid kit. Wonderful stuff!Read full review...

fantastic product

my daughter in law came out in a dreadful rash all over her face ,the g p prescribed her some cream which she was allergic to and her face came up in all puss lesions and was dreadful , I suggested she tried a small patch of this on her face and she took the tube to her gp and asked if he would prescribe it . he point blank said 'NO'' she used it anyway and within a week her face had completely cleared .
the first day all the puss sloughed off her face and the redness subsided ,it is a miracle treatment

First aid essential

I bought medical grade manuka honey about 8 years ago when my dad was suffering with ulcers on his leg. A community nurse was visiting every other day for a couple of months, applied medication and changed dressings but it was getting so much worse, and it smelled awful. I researched and found the honey, it was delivered a couple of days later and within a week his leg was healing. We used the rest of the tube the following year when my mum had a bad accident and her wounds were showing no improvement. Again the honey worked miracles.
I bought this tube for the first aid kit and at a quarter of the price I paid years ago I think everyone should have it to hand.

I would recommend this product

Honey dressing is recognised by the NHS as being good for slower healing wounds.

I used it on the final healing stages of the site of a drain tube which seemed to be making slow progress to heal.

People have commented on the graininess of the contents of the tubes they had received. My tube was fine. I suspect that warming the tube in hot water would dissolve the sugary granules.

The tube IS resealable contrary to some comments. The snap off lid simply reverses and has a peg which is designed to plug the end of the nozzle.

the healing power of honey

recommended by the tissue viability nurse for a deep wound on my partners leg but found it impossible (not joking) to get via district nurses or GP but here it is on e-Bay at a reasonable price the product arrived quickly in good condition and we were able to carry on with the regime set up by the TVN, The healing has been excellent and I thoroughly recommend this product check with your nurse or GP first if you want to use it on anything more than a minor injury though.Remember being honey it is very sticky so don't squeeze the tube too hard you don't need large amounts of this.Read full review...

Wounds & Manuka Honey

About 10 years ago I was 'poohooed' by a vet for using Manuka Honey 30+ (minimum) but 2 weeks later he could not believe the progress of the healing and told me to keep doing whatever I was doing.

10 years on and vets (and vet schools) are using Manuka.

Back then doing my research for another horse, I read an article about a Welsh hospital using Manuka pads in an effort to help a patient's shoulder heal properly and be pain free - several operations had not helped the pain or the healing but the Manuka dressings did!

The pads were very expensive and I had never seen any medical grade Manuka available so bought the highest umf I could get my hands on.

Now we can get Medical Grade easily and at an affordable price making it available to everyone, those in the know and those scared to get the wrong stuff and if in doubt buy the medical grade you cannot go wrong.

Anything under 10+umf has no healing properties and the higher the umf the better.

Currently using on one of my horse's bad leg wound that was cut down from hock to near fetlock (length of half her hind leg) and the skin hanging like a torn corner - 6 weeks later we are nearly healed with only a tiny corner of lost flesh from the hanging skin (was apparent at 48hr check after accident) the rest took and never looked back.

Please note: Manuka heals from the inside out so no scab will be created and nothing will grow over until the wound is healed properly but nor do you think its healed when its not and pus cannot fester inside a cavity in the wound.

Medical grade Manuka gives you peace of mind if you are worried as it has been sterilised.

Remember Manuka can take on MRSA so you know it has high antibiotic properties ;)

Soothing and healing.

This product is amazing. Have an ulcer on my leg, taking a long time to heal. Using this honey cream it is starting to heal nicely. Was very sceptical at first and I guess it won't work for everyone. It is working for me when nothing else was helping. It is also very soothing on the wound. Excellent product will buy again.Read full review...

Brilliant stuff

My mother had a pressure sore the would not heal it was constantly weeping. I applied this with a dressing e ery two days. The honey drew out all the infection. I used the honey for about eight days then stopped. I followed this by applying an absorbent dressing and I am pleased to say that the pressure sore is now healing. This product is amazing and I would highly recommend it. Read full review...

It works..it's like an antibiotic with no side effects

If you have an infection, the Manuka kills all the bacteria. 35 yrs ago I read an article on Manuka honey. In the laboratory they put typhus bacteria in a petri dish. 3 days later the typhus was gone. If I have an access I use Manuka honey to draw out the poisonous bacteria. It works 100 per cent. Even if you need antibiotics this honey helps the healing. This tube is so handy to take anywhere...pocket or handbag. A must have item for me.Read full review...
