Justin makes the band!

As a long time fan of TOOL, I must say that Opiate and Undertow where missing something. That something was Justin Chancellor. When Justin left Peach and joined TOOL, he brought a unique style and sound all his own. Justin (bass) and Danny (percussion) work incredibly well together to achieve an amazingly complicated rhythm section, second to none. These two often play in different time signatures, which can be very tough to do. Adam (guitar) and Maynard (vocals) round out the four. Adam brings stirring sounds and melodies into the mix, that accent wonderfully what the others are doing. Maynard steps out of his comfort zone and becomes more personal in his lyrics, while trying new local techniques. Overall, a must have!Read full review...

AAAAaaAAaah...the best band in the world

Okay...I know you may not all agree but I'm less than thrilled with the Tool "demise" since A Perfect Circle came into being but I still gotta give this band all time status props. This album is consistently insane...how can any twisted fan NOT love: Eulogy, Fourty Six & 2, Hooker With A P*nis, Pushit! I mean how many albums do you know that can carry off something like Mssg. to Harry Manback so beautifully??? This album deserves about 1000 listens and then a re-purchase. It's that good.I just can't say much more about Tool than...if they don't go straight through to your soul and rip it out, abuse it, chew it up, stain it and give it back to you weak and begging for more....then DON'T listen.
"You've claimed all this time that you would die for me. Why then are you so surprised when you hear your own eulogy?"

Tool-Aenima

First off, I am a new Tool fan, and quickly becoming a fanatic. I personally love the beats and rythms from Danny Carrey. He is an insparation to me. Maynard James is my absolute favorite vocalist and he delivers agian a stunning proformance. For me I love music, tool has different music that no one else cam mimick. I really like the lyrics having such a down to earth tone to it. One thing I don't usually appriciate in my music is profanity. While this cd is full of it, that is just their style. But they are incredible and this cd along with Undertow helped define them. I bought it because there is so much I can learn musically. I am a musician and I like anything thing different.Read full review...

Best TOOL album

Aenima is by far the best TOOL album. Although it is one of the band's earlier releases, and it seems as if the band was still finding their sound, the record is explosive and amazing. From the beginning of "Stinkfist" until the end of "Third Eye," Maynard James Keenan's vocals are outstanding. Also Danny, Adam, and Justin provide fabulous musical performances. Each song has a distinct feel and aura about it. My favorite song would have to be "Eulogy" because of the haunting lyrics and gripping, raw guitar chords. I recommend this TOOL album to new fans, or anyone else for that matter.Read full review...

Great CD, Decent Seller

I've been a fan of Tool for years, and finally getting a chance to pick up Aenima as well as a couple other older CD's of theirs was a joy. The music is, as expected, wonderful, but I was a bit disappointed by the seller not explaining that its case was damaged. On a normal band's cover that wouldn't be an issue, but seeing as how Tool's artwork is a large part of the band's eccentricity, a cracked case and slightly worn out cover is like not getting your full experience. It didn't ruin my experience or anything, but a bit more time taken to say the casing would be damaged would have been much appreciated. Something I'll have to double check before clicking again, that's a certainty.Read full review...

Great CD

Cosmetically the CD is in fantastic shape. Like I would have bought it brand new in store. As far as personal satisfaction goes the CD is excellent. It is more than 13 years old now and still has a modern sound. Hard rock that people can actually listen to and understand. I highly recommend all of Tool's other CDs as well.Read full review...

replace and recollect that which make you happy

Besides the masterful musicianship that this band is abundant and plentiful and unique. Let's face it, this band rocks, plus, I needed to replace my worn thin CD.
