...you'll love this. I'm no expert, but the taste alone should convince you. Get more flavour and value from ground coffee with this fast and easy-to-use method!

It's quicker, easier, tastier, and probably healthier than any other coffee making apparatus. I made a great coffee straight from the box in about five minutes. Because it uses lower-than-boiling point water, i can make fresh & delicious coffee from flask hot water on train journeys, etc.

It brings good flavour out of mediocre ground coffee, and tastes wonderful with the fresh stuff.

There's no secret - it's basically a hand pressurised filter system, but it's such a good design! Even getting rid of the used grounds is easier and less messy.

Quick and simple to use. Easy to Clean

Looks neat and tidy, simple to use. Material feels strong and the plunger feels firm in use.
Takes a couple of minutes to make a great coffee without the hassle of cleaning out a glass cafetiere.r>The accessories are also very sturdy an fit neatly into the unit when not in use.
The simplest way to dispose of coffee grains just remove the filter holder and push the plunger down, it ejects a nice neat circle of coffee into the bin ( Or save and dry for the garden)
Washes easily noting sticks to the units.

Great Coffee.

I have tried the various machines out there and although they make an acceptable Latte and Cappuccino, I found that the Americano and Espresso were a bit lacking, they are also expensive to use, I also tried the real Espresso machines with the separate milk steamer, but I found that these were too much hassle to use and I then tended to go to the Barista instant coffee instead. Cafetiere`s were messy when you get rid of the used coffee grounds and did not really make a good coffee but with the Aeropress, everything that I want is there, I am the only one in the family that likes a strong coffee, so it is an ideal size, I can make the coffee as strong as I want it, it is quick to use and it is really easy to get rid of the used coffee grounds, just take the filter cap off and push the plug into the bin, it is so easy. The Aeropress makes the coffee exactly as I like it because I can use the beans that I want, I can grind them as I want with my burr grinder and I can use my spinning milk frother to make heated milk into a light foam to make Latte`s and Cappaccino`s, the only thing missing is a crema but I don`t really think that affects the taste in any way.

A qualified recommendation...

Having agreed that 1. I'd recommend it, 2. that it's good value, and 3. that it's good quality, let me qualify my recommendation:

No question, it's well designed and made - and great value for a solo coffee-maker, whether at home or on the move.

Personally, and having tried various amounts of both store-bought ground coffee and home-ground beans, I've found the resulting brews very smooth (and utterly grounds-free)... but somehow lacking er, what? Character?! I'm bound to sound pretentious here, but I love blends of coffee with slightly quirky flavour 'personalities'. Rather like red wines where there's essentially a balance between fruity berry flavours and tannins to provide structure, coffee that tastes simply rich or smooth lacks (cringe) character - some of which comes from a SLIGHT bitterness, or some other subtle but unusual note. I imagine the way the makers suggest you use the Aeropress, where the coffee's typically allowed to brew for 40 seconds (including pressing time), has a lot to do with it. I really want to like the Aeropress though (not least because it's MUCH easier to wash than any cafetière), and will try to update my review if I find how to get results I'm truly happy with.

A final note; don't be misled by any comparison of the plunger pressure with espresso machines of any kind. This machine makes very smooth filter-style coffee VERY quickly. That's its strong point; if you're looking for a similarly portable espresso machine, check out the Staresso; it's similarly inexpensive, but its results (even with the cheapest ready-ground supermarket blends) I find absolutely staggering. Really does make very good coffee

Light, easy, virtually unbreakable, rather fun and just simply makes excellent coffee. Good for taking away in case the facilities are dubious ( and especially camping if you have room - good coffee is essential when camping :D ) Paper filters can be washed and reused, but even better now can be found metal mesh filters that are non-disposable. Terrific - the only way to get great coffee quickly!

There's a process of: place filter - fit cap - a scoop of coffee - place on cup - pour water - wait 15 seconds - stir - wait 10 seconds - push down.

That's it. and (I think its the pressurerised push) that gets the sweetness from the coffee.

The unit doesn't last forever we tend to get a year out of ours - but that's a small price to pay - 100% better than any of those Tassimo things dramtically better value and there no waste.Read full review...

I had one of the very first batch of aero press made so definitely a long term user, own 4 at moment, one modified to pack very small to use on bike.
