Pleasant viewing

I prefer the original actors Tommy and Tuppence. I originally put in a bad review for this but on watching it a second time I take that back. Worth a look if you have a few spare evenings.

Bit of a disappointment this time round, watched it originally on telly all those years ago but seems a bit dated and lacking the zizz of first viewing. Apart from the deliciously sexy Tuppence and the bumbling Tommy remaining characters are stereotypes in typical AC style and don't really transfer to the (now) big screen tv experience. Sound quality suffers somewhat from original transfer to dvd but if you haven't watched this already, definitely get hold of it.
I also think it suffers a bit from being a cover of the original recording of much earlier with far more well known theatrical and big screen actors.
All in all worth a punt at a few quid. One annoying detail is the chapter listing on dvd. It can be confusing if you leave watching for a couple of days and forget where you are as the lead in to each episode is quite long.Read full review
