Alba Men's Black Watch - AQPJ402

Lightweight, clean dial, comfortable field watch.

I am a big fan of the watch. The dial is clean and easy to read. You have an option of displaying the day in kanji or English. The second hand hits the markers. The size of the watch is perfect. I have a 19 cm (1.5 in) wrist and this doesn't look out of place at all. It is my preference to favour smaller watches.

The watch only really falls short in two areas. Firstly, I would prefer a threaded crown just so that I can be sure of the 100 m water resistance printed on the dial. Secondly, the bracelet is rolled hollow links so it can occasionally pull hairs. I would have paid more for a watch with a solid bracelet and a screw-down crown. A little bit smaller in diameter.

This watch is a bit smaller in diameter than I thought it would be. I bought it to replace a Citizen solar-powered watch (titanium with day and date--which I could not read). This watch is much easier to read the day/date, but it is a little bit smaller in diameter than the Citizen; that is my only criticism.Read full review

Great watch that is easy to read

This watch is a brand of Seiko that is marketed in the far east. It has all the stylish features of a Seiku watch without the higher prices. It was easy to size it (remove a couple links) and I love the black face with arabic numbers. I am a senior citizen, so the face of the watch is easy to read and the day/date function is black on a white background, making the day and date easy to reac. It is battery operated so one does not have to worry about hand activity to keep it ticking. A great watch at a great bargain. Shipment from Japan takes 3-4 weeks but it is worth it.Read full review
