Alesis SRP100 Studio Reference Headphones

Many years ago, I bought a set of headphones. They were called Wharfedale DD-1s and were bankrupt stock from a shop that had just shut down - otherwise I would never have been able to afford them. They were quite large, but worth the discomfort because they contained both treble and bass drivers, and were the greatest thing I'd ever heard. I've still got them, and frequently see others come up on eBay.

Then I bought these Alesis SRP-100s. Well that opened my eyes - and ears! My old Wharfedales, which I thought were fantastic - and indeed are - sounded tinny and weedy by comparison. They are that good. Lighter, more comfortable, better made and the most amazing full frequency response I've ever experienced.
