Alison Moyet - Hometime

I decided to buy 'Hometime' as I have always enjoyed Alison Moyet from the beginning of her music career. I wasnt aware of this album until recently and after listening to it I can see why. Its ok for some background music but to sit and just listen to is a bit boring and maudling. The style of music is a bit old hat for her and hopefully this style of music will be her last before moving on to something a bit more up tempo. Dont think any tracks particularly stand out but as I say 'nice' background music.

Soz Alison but keep trying, maybe give Vince Clarke a call he could sort you out again.

The return of the Essex girl

Who would have thought that after years in the wilderness Alison Moyet still had it in her to come up with such an accomplished, sleek and thoroughly enjoyable album? I have always been a fan, Yazoo had great singles and her first solo albums were some of my favourite in the 80s, but she had sort of fallen by the wayside with her Voodoo album.
Imagine the surprise when this came out: great melodies, contemporary sound, and her trademark amazing voice, it couldn't (and didn't) go wrong. It's like she never went away.
And if you get the chance go and see her live, her voice is obviously not tweaked with in the studio: she is a force of nature. And very funny too.

Alison Moyet - Hometime (CD)

Ms Moyet delivers yet another very accomplished album. Very much a grower with its subtle and smoky, velvet-like melodies.... if you're a Moyet fan, this will not disappoint!

One of her best albums

This Album probably demonstrates her vocal and style range better than the rest. It really grows on you after a few listens
