Altec Lansing BXR1220 Computer Speakers

Desktop speakers, good sound, small footprint

My only criticism it ergonomic. It would be more convenient if the on/off switch was incorporated in the top side volume control instead of on the back. Having to pick up the right-hand speaker so that it can be turned to reach the on/off switch. It seems like a stupid design mistake. The sound is pretty good but the bass would be improved with the addition of a sub-woofer. For someone wanting speakers with a small footprint and good sound these would be a very cost effective choice.
Some reviewers have criticised the bright orange power light. I find it a little distracting: a tiny green light would have been a better choice.Read full review

Small speakers pack a good punch

These little speakers sound good and and perform very well, especially for the price. I researched before I purchased these, and I was not disappointed. I would recommend anyone with limited space, or anyone who just wants something small and cool looking to provide sound for their laptop to look into these speaker for their setup. These are by no way made for a gaming setup, but they make the late night Netflix and Hulu watching much more enjoyable since I can now hear all the dialog. Small & Simple

Good looking speakers & small enough to fit my desk space. ONLY 1 wire coming out of the back is USB for both power and signal. The volume is just fine. Replacement for my old JBL Solitaires

Great speakers.

These are great speakers. They have good sound quality from bass thru treble. They do not have tons of bass, like speakers with a sub woofer would, but I don't care for too much bass, so they suit me fine. Also, they are small and don't take up too much space on the table.I have had these same speakers in the past and they lasted for many years.
